CNT compound resin blended with PEEK (polyether ether ketone) and PC (polycarbonate) with CNT (carbon nanotubes).
CNT is a carbon material in the form of nanometer-sized cylinders (tubes) that excels in conductivity and thermal conductivity. By properly mixing CNT with thermoplastic resin, conductive and semiconductive resin materials can be created. CNT demonstrates high conductivity even in small amounts, so it is possible to achieve sufficient conductivity/semiconductivity with a small addition, without the need for large quantities like carbon black or carbon fibers, enabling effective ESD countermeasures. Due to the small size of the fillers, which are present in limited quantities, it is recognized as a clean material with low dust generation, making it valuable as a clean electrostatic discharge (ESD) countermeasure resin material in manufacturing processes for semiconductors, HDDs, and FPDs.
